GPs and MIMS subscribers can now view images and key features of blood glucose test strips and other diabetes devices in a handy visual guide available on mims.co.uk.

The popular MIMS visual guide to diabetes devices, now available online for the first time, presents images and key features of diabetes tests and appliances grouped by type. The guide is designed to help healthcare professionals identify, compare and recommend suitable devices during patient consultations. 

Devices included in the guide are:

  • Lancets
  • Finger pricking devices
  • Blood glucose test strips
  • Blood glucose meters
  • Pre-filled insulin pens
  • Reusable insulin delivery devices
  • Pre-filled GLP-1 agonist pens

To view the images, GPs can simply log in to mims.co.uk or take 2 minutes to complete the free MIMS registration process. MIMS subscribers also just need to log in. Other relevant professionals can view the images by subscribing to MIMS.

The visual guide complements the quick-reference MIMS compatibility tables for blood glucose meters and test strips and finger prickers and lancets.
