The recommended starting dose of Metoject in juvenile arthritis is 10-15mg/m2 once weekly by subcutaneous or intramuscular injection.

Metoject (methotrexate) can now be prescribed in children from the age of 3 years. The injectable methotrexate formulation has been approved for the treatment of polyarthritic forms of severe, active juvenile idiopathic arthritis that have failed to respond adequately to NSAIDs.
