Orodispersible donepezil

Easai and Pfizer have launched Aricept Evess, an orodispersible tablet containing 5mg or 10mg donepezil hydrochloride.

The orodispersible tablet should be placed on the tongue and given with or without water. Like Aricept film-coated tablets, Aricept Evess is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderately severe Alzheimer's dementia. The orodispersible tablets are bioequivalent to the film-coated tablets; the dose recommendations for both formulations are the same.
