New eye products

Two new lubricants are now available for the treatment of dry eye.


Ocusan (hyaluronic acid) eye drops is available for the treatment of symptoms of dry eye.
The preservative-free single dose units of 0.5ml contain 0.2% hyaluronic acid.

Ocusan is suitable for contact lens wearers. One or two drops should be instilled as required into the conjunctival sac.

M&A Pharmachem has launched PVA 1.4% Tubilux (polyvinyl alcohol). It is a sterile lubricating solution for the relief of the symptoms of dry eye syndrome and can be used to relieve irritation to the eyes caused by dust, smoke, air conditioning, wind, prolonged computer work or the use of contact lenses.

PVA 1.4% Tubilux can be used with all types of contact lenses. The drops contain OXYD, a new preservative that is safe for use with all types of contact lenses and may help reduce irritation to
the eye.
