Lyrica (pregabalin) oral solution launched

An oral liquid formulation of Lyrica (pregabalin) is now available from Pfizer.

Originally licensed as an adjunctive therapy for partial seizures with or without secondary generalisation, the gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) analogue is also licensed for generalised anxiety disorder and for the treatment of peripheral and central neuropathic pain.

The oral solution contains 20mg pregabalin per ml. It is available in a 473ml bottle pack and also contains a graduated oral syringe with adaptor.
