Flu vaccines for 2015/16 season

Flu vaccine listings in MIMS have been updated for the 2015/16 season.

In accordance with EMA/WHO guidelines for the 2015/16 season, the trivalent vaccines contain the following strains:

Vaccine Update June 2015

  • A/California/7/2009 as the H1N1-like component (as last season)
  • A/Switzerland/9715293/2013 as the H3N2-like component
  • B/Phuket/3073/2013 as the influenza B component.

The tetravalent vaccines Fluenz Tetra and Fluarix Tetra contain the additional influenza B strain B/Brisbane/60/2008.
