Elleste HRT range back in stock

The resupply of the oral combination HRT preparations Elleste Duet (sequential estradiol/norethisterone) and Elleste Duet Conti (estradiol/norethisterone) means the whole Elleste range is now available to prescribe again.

Manufacturer Viatris says it remains committed to the continuation of the Elleste oral range and is working closely with its supply chain team to ensure a steady supply.

According to the latest information on the MIMS drug shortages tracker, several other HRT preparations remain out of stock.

Clinorette (sequential estradiol/norethisterone), Climanor (medroxyprogesterone) and Bedol (estradiol) tablets are unavailable with no confirmed date of resupply.

Resupply of FemSeven (estradiol), FemSeven Conti (estradiol/levonorgestrel) and FemSeven Sequi (sequential estradiol/levonorgestrel) patches is anticipated in early 2021. The shortages relate to an issue with the patch adhesive, which the manufacturer says it is sourcing from an alternative supplier.

UCB, sole supplier of ethinylestradiol 10 microgram and 50 microgram tablets, is out of stock and unable to advise a resupply date.
