Earn 5 CPD credits at free MIMS workshop on mental health and type 2 diabetes

Healthcare professionals are invited to attend a complimentary one-day MIMS Workshop in London on 5th December entitled 'Mental Health and Type 2 Diabetes on the Front Line', developed and fully funded by Janssen.

The workshop will cover the latest thinking in mental health and the management of type 2 diabetes, alongside instructive case presentations.

This one-day workshop is free for healthcare professionals to attend and provides the opportunity to earn 5 CPD credits toward revalidation.

Chaired by consultant endocrinologist Dr Marc Evans, the event features expert speakers Dr Adrian Heald, endocrinologist and diabetologist; Dr Richard Whale, principal lecturer, Brighton and Sussex Medical School; and Abby Maisey, RGN.

Following plenary sessions exploring patient and treatment choice and how to deliver value and outcomes in diabetes and mental health, the afternoon includes two practical workshops:

  • Parity of esteem in mental and physical health
  • Is there health without mental health?

The event will take place at the Royal College of General Practitioners, 30 Euston Square, London, NW1 2FB, on 5th December 2016.
