Changes to animal and human insulin availability

The following Novo Nordisk preparations will not be available after the end of December 2007:

  • Mixtard 10 Penfill 5 x 3ml cartridge
  • Mixtard 20 Penfill 5 x 3ml cartridge
  • Mixtard 40 Penfill 5 x 3ml cartridge
  • Mixtard 50 Penfill 5 x 3ml cartridge
  • Pork Actrapid 10ml vial
  • Pork Mixtard 30 10ml vial
  • Pork Insulatard 10ml vial

In response to the uncertainty of the availability of animal insulin in the UK, Wockhardt UK has confirmed its intention to promote and support the continuing supply of porcine and bovine insulins for the foreseeable future.
