Beclazone Easi-Breathe to be phased out

Teva has confirmed that they will cease supply of all strengths of Beclazone Easi-Breathe (beclometasone diproprionate) inhalers from 30 September 2009. The inhalers are being discontinued in line with the Montreal Protocol requirements to phase out manufacture of all CFC-containing beclometasone products by 2010.

Patients on Beclazone Easi-Breathe will need to be transferred to an alternative device and/or product that suits the patient.

The discontinuation does not affect Qvar Easi-Breathe or Salamol Easi-Breathe.
