Azarga

Alcon has launched Azarga (brinzolamide/timolol) for the reduction of intraocular pressure (IOP) in adult patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension where monotherapy is inadequate.

Brinzolamide and timolol decrease elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) primarily by reducing aqueous humour secretion, but they do so by different mechanisms of action.

For patients for whom monotherapy provides insufficient IOP reduction, Azarga offers a convenient fixed combination eye drop.
