PhosLo

PhosLo (calcium acetate) is a new phosphate binder available for the prevention and management of hyperphosphataemia in patients with advanced renal failure on dialysis.

The usual starting dose is two capsules with each meal, increasing until the desired phosphate level is achieved; most patients will require three or four capsules with each meal to achieve adequate control of phosphate levels.
