Risk (including Framingham, ASSIGN and QRISK equations should not be used for people already considered at high risk of CVD – use clinical assessment instead. The Framingham equations may overestimate risk in UK populations. When using these equations, multiply the score by: - 1.4 for men with a South Asian background
- 1.5 if one relative has a history of premature CHD†
- 1.5 to 2.0 if two or more relatives have a history of premature CHD†
